GENERAL AFFILIATE QUESTIONS
1. How do I begin?
- Please read the Tide-mark Affiliate Plan Agreement.
- Sign Up: Complete and submit the online registration form. You'll receive an e-mail acknowledging receipt of your registration form. We review registration forms within three business days. After your site has been approved, you'll receive another e-mail with detailed instructions explaining how to enter our 'Affiliates only' area called Affiliate Links.
- Use Affiliate Links to establish site-to-site links. Once your site has been approved, you'll get access to Affiliate LInks, which provides you with linking codes to virtually any page in our site. You'll also have access to banners and graphics to add to your store.
- Earning Referral Fees: Once your site has been approved, sales generated by your links earn referral fees automatically. Referral fees are paid at the end of each quarter.

2. Is there a cost to become an Affiliate?
There are no charges for participating in the tide-mark.com Affiliate Plan, in addition, there are no minimum sales requirements or quotas to meet before earning referral fees.

3. Will my Web site qualify for the Affiliate Plan?
Most Web sites qualify to be part of the program, however, we may reject Web sites determined to be inappropriate, such as, for example, sites that promote: sexually explicit material; violence; discrimination based on race, sex, religion, national origin, physical disability, sexual orientation, or age; illegal activities; or the violation of intellectual property rights.

4. If I live outside the USA, can I participate?
You may participate in the Affiliate Plan if you live outside the United States, however, you should read the Affiliate Plan Agreement before you join. The understanding set out in the agreement applies to affiliates anywhere in the world. Note also that referral fees are paid in U.S. Dollars on an American bank and you may incur bank fees when cashing Affiliate earnings checks outside the U.S.

5. Can I apply to the Affiliate Plan more than once?
You may submit more than one application, but if you need multiple ID's for tracking purposes, we recommend that you apply once and then write to customerservice@tide-mark.com to request the number of tracking ID's you need.

6. If I operate several Web sites, can I register each one of them as tide-mark.com Affiliates?
Submit an Affiliate application and then write to customerservice@tide-mark.com to request the number of tracking IDs you need assigned to your account.

7. Can I take orders on my Web site and forward them to tide-mark.com?
To ensure accuracy and order fidelity, the customer's contact and billing information must originate from the customer's computer. We cannot accept orders which are redirected from another site.

8. Is the Affiliate Plan open to nonprofit organizations?
We're happy to have nonprofit organizations join our program. We publish many titles in conjunction with nonprofit groups and encourage nonprofit groups to consider our titles for fund raising programs.

REFERRAL FEES AND PAYMENTS
1.How much does Tide-mark pay in Affiliate referral fees?
You'll receive 10% for individually linked Titles that you feature on your site, as well as on sales through home page links.

2. Do all Titles qualify for referral fees, and how are fees calculated?
Referral fees are earned on all Titles so long as the customer accepts and pays for the item. The referral fee is 10% of the selling price of individually linked books. Review the complete text of the Affiliate Operating Agreement for details. Each Title included in your store will be sold by tide-mark.com to your visitors at the same price offered directly through tide mark.com. Any discount offered to our customers will also apply to customers who follow Affiliate links from your Web site. Because prices may vary, Affiliates are advised not to include price information on their Web sites.

3. When and how do I get paid?
Affiliate referral fees are paid each quarter. Approximately 30 days following the end of each calendar quarter (March 31, June 30, September 30, December 31), we will send you a quarterly report and a check for the referral fees on earned titles that were shipped during the preceding quarter, less any taxes that we are legally required to withhold. Accounts with cumulative earnings of at least $25 will receive payment.
If a Title that generated a referral fee is returned by a customer, we will deduct the corresponding referral fee from your next quarterly payment. If there is no subsequent quarterly payment, we reserve the right to send you a bill for the fee at the end of the following quarter.

4. How does tide-mark.com track orders coming from my Web site?
An Affiliate ID is assigned when you sign up through our online form. Links from Affiliate Web sites to tide-mark.com use HTML code that includes the Affiliate ID. Every time a customer follows one of those links to our site, the unique information in the HTML tells tide-mark.com which title to display and which Affiliate sent the customer to us. When that customer places an order, you automatically receive an e-mail.

5. Does tide-mark.com have an online reporting?
Unfortunately, we don't yet have online Affiliate traffic reporting, but we're working toward that goal. You will receive an e-mail each time an order is placed by a customer who follows a link from your site.

6. Will I earn referral fees for my personal orders?
The Affiliate Operating Agreement, states that we do not pay referral fees for personal orders. Our agreement is based on the referral of new customers, not simply offering extra discount to Affiliates.

7. Must sales quotas or performance criteria be met before I earn referral
fees?
We do not require that Affiliates meet sales quotas or performance criteria to earn referral fees. We pay 10% for sales of individually linked Titles regardless of sales quantity.
