About the Author
Dan Lyons is a photographer/writer, specializing in autos new and old. He has provided new car road tests to the Times Union (Albany, NY) newspaper for more than 20 years, and reviews cars for the Motor Matters syndicate as well.
Lyons’ old car writing credits include six award winning books (Cars of the Sensational 60’s, Cars of the Fantastic 50’s, Corvette: An American Legend, Sixties American Cars, Cars of 1957, and Cars of 1965), as well as over 1,000 articles for various newspapers, magazines and websites. He writes a classic car column for the Times Union newspaper, and authors a classic car blog for their website. Lyons is also regarded as one of the premiere automotive photographers in the country, with over 170 calendars to his credit to date. In addition to calendars, his images have illustrated thousands of books, magazines, newspapers, and online articles. Collectively, Lyons’ photography and writing over the past 25 years have been recognized in dozens of automotive media awards.
