Beneath the North Atlantic literally dives into a world rarely explored by photographers. The Atlantic Ocean is comparatively dark and cold, yet it throngs with living things not often seen been because they are so difficult to find and to photograph. Accompanying more than 150 color photographs are extended captions that describe the creatures pictured. Photographs and text are by Jonathan Bird, who also creates educational films about the sea and the creatures who live in it.
Published by Tide-mark, Beneath the North Atlantic is available in hardcover with more than 150 pictures in full color.
